Abstract: | Investigation of the three-parameter lumped mass model for a Bernoulli-Euler clamped-clamped beam has shown that the model is a universal model with respect to simple boundary conditions. Numerical results for the transient response due to a low frequency ground shock demonstrate the superiority of the beam model based on impedance methods. |
