| Abstract: | A range of properties is surveyed for three barium lanthanum fluoride compounds, where the lanthanum ion may be holmium, erbium or thulium. The experimental methods include magnetic resonance, and optical absorption spectroscopy, together with measurements of heat capacity and magnetic susceptibility. |
