Catalyst- and chromatography-free synthesis of pyrrole-substituted indolinone derivatives in water

Abstract:Pyrrole-substituted indolinone derivatives were synthesized by the reaction of 4-hydroxyproline and isatin derivatives in water under catalyst-free conditions. The main advantages of this protocol besides the use of water as a solvent include short reaction time, practical simplicity, and high yield.
