| Abstract: | The L phenylalanine was prepared in high optical purity by treating N acetylphenylalanine ethyl ester in water or in water octanol biphase medium using free aminoacylase as a catalyst. The kinetic behavior of the free enzymatic reaction was investigated and the reaction mechanism has been discussed. |
