Abstract: | General formulas are derived for reconstructing two-dimensional Laplace fields from specified focusing and dispersion characteristics in the plane of symmetry. The electrode configuration is determined for an energy analyzer with ideal focusing of a fan beam. The parameters of the plane trajectories, their shape, and their energy dispersion are determined.
