On the Non-existence of Two-Valued Lattice Homomorphisms of Quantum Logic

Abstract:We show that there exists no two-valued lattice homomorphism from the lattice \(\mathscr{L}(\mathscr{H})\) of all closed linear subspaces of a Hilbert space \(\mathscr{H}\) with \(\dim (\mathscr{H}) \geq 2\) by using the notion of prime filters.
