| 摘 要： | 提出了一种用于图像压缩的混合编码算法。该算法利用分形编码技术与 小波零树编码技术的互补性，针对分形编码十分耗时，小波编码压缩性欠佳的缺点，尝试将这两种不同的编码技术结合起来。混合算法具有比分形编码和小波编码更好的码率失真性能。

| Abstract: | A wavelet_fractal hybrid coder for image compression is proposed in this paper. The fractal prediction is adaptively applied to and only to regions where the rate saving offered by fractal prediction is higher. With combining wavelet_based coding and fractal coding, the performance of algorithm in rate_distortion sense has improved soundly. |
