基于双向网络的PS/SI信息获取机制的设计与实现

本文指出了传统的EPG信息获得方式的不足，例举一种依靠双向网络获得EPG信息的方法。通过双向网络，机顶盒从服务端请求频道和节目信息（IP-EPG）。在可靠性方面，机顶盒仍然保留传统的DVB-EPG获得方式作为备份，从而避免了双向网络异常终端不能获得信息情况出现。经过测试， IP-EPG方式在频道搜索速度和信息更新的用户体验方面，效果远远优于传统DVB-EPG方式。

Design and implementation of a mechanism to obtain PSI/SI information based on the two-way network

This paper points out the shortcomings of the traditional way of EPG information obtained, for example, be a method relies on two-way network to get EPG information. By two-way network, set-top box sends a request to the server to get the channel and program information (IP-EPG). In terms of reliability, still retain the traditional set-top box DVB-EPG of availability as a backup, in order to avoid the two-way network anomalies terminal can not obtain information about the situation. After testing, the channel search speed and information updates in the user experience on IP-EPG mode is far superior to the traditional DVB-EPG mode.
