Abstract:Evolution of the flow field around a circular cylinder and a sphere instantaneously starting with a constant supersonic velocity (Minfin = 5 and Re = 105) from the state at rest is studied by means of numerical integration of unsteady twodashdimensional Navier–Stokes equations.
