SYNTHESIS AND CRYSTAL STRUCTURE OF A TRITUNGSTEN CLU-STER COMPOUND H[W_3O_2(O_2CCH_3)_9]·5H_2O

In this paper we report the structure of another new W3 cluster compound HW3O2(O2CCH3)9]·5H2O prepared by the method reported previously. The title compound crystal lizes in monoctinic system, space group P21 with cell dimensions: a = 8. 237(3),6=13. 273(2),c=14.508(4)A,β=92.97°(3),V=1584A3.Z=2,and Dc=2. 529g/cm3.The average W - W, W -U_3-O,W -Oac and W -Ot distances are 2. 775, 2. 01,2. 09 and 2. 04 A, respectively.
