| Abstract: | From energy loss measurements of fast electrons on polycrystalline benzene films the energy loss function Im(?1/?) and the dielectric constants ?=?1+i?2 are calculated up to 40 eV. The results are discussed in terms of ?2 and are compared with the corresponding ?2-spectrum of benzene vapour. |
