| Abstract: | General optical properties of the polarizable linear magneto-nonlocal fluids are investigated. A set of nonlocal constitutive equations for the dielectric tensor are proposed. The general expression for the refractive index is derived and the effects of nonlocality and magnetic field are discussed. The special case when the speed of fluid motion is much smaller than that of light is also considered while the corresponding birefringence is derived and discussed. |
