| Abstract: | We find that 1 equiv. of NaI greatly accelerates the photostimulated substitution (SRN1 mechanism) of bromobenzene, bromotoluenes and bromopyridines by diethylphosphite ion, in acetonitrile/tetrahydrofuran mixtures. Consequently, bromoaromatic compounds are suitable for preparative use. |
