| Abstract: | This paper introduces the basic theory of dense wavelength division multiplexed technology and the cross-phase modulation. The influence of cross-phase modulation on the performance of dense wavelength division multiplexed system are investigated in detail by computer simulation, some suggestion for improving the performance of system and for how to restrain the effect of cross-phase modulation are raised. |
