| Abstract: | The differential thermal analysis technique was investigated for the detection of K2SO4 in the presence of K2S2O7. It was found that >4% K2SO4 could be detected from an endothermic peak due to K2SO4 at 582 ± 2 °C as the dta profile of K2S2O7 showed no peak in the temperature range of 500–650 °C at 25-μV sensitivity. Mixtures containing <4% K2SO4 could be successfully analyzed by using a sensitivity of 10 μV. |
