Block diagonalization of the fermion action in lattice gauge theories |

| Abstract: | A gauge invariant block diagonalization of the fermionic part of the Wilson action is proposed, which cuts down the fermionic degrees of freedom by a factor of 16 in each step, keeping unaltered the infrared behaviour of the spectrum. |
