| Abstract: | An analytical model to describe the Gordon-Haus jitter has been introduced. We have analysed the effects of accumulated amplified spontaneous emission and Gordon-Haus jitter on the bit error rate (BER) performance for various digital modulation formats (that is, ASK, FSK and DPSK). |
