Abstract: | Alkylasparaginases have been obtained with the far-reaching modification of 1–10 lysine residues per subunit of the enzyme. It has been established that alkylation does not affect the stability of the enzyme, and the change in the pH optimum of the catalytic action is due to the chemical nature of the alkyl substituent.Institute of Organic Synthesis, Academy of Sciences of the Latvian SSR, Riga.
