| Abstract: | The multivariate spectrophotometry analysis is considered as a vector extension of the classic univariate scalar analysis. From this point of view the theory of figures of merit of multivariate spectrophotometry is developed. The figures of merit expressing the sensitivity, selectivity, limit of detection and coefficient of the error propagation are defined. They are used to evaluate the reliability of analytical results obtained from two practical mixture examples of environmental and pharmaceutical analyses. |
