| Abstract: | An efficient stereoselective total synthesis of (+)-mueggelone, a novel inhibitor of fish development, is described. Highlights of the strategy include the utilization of Sharpless asymmetric epoxidation, Yamaguchi lactonization and an olefin cross-metathesis as the key steps. |
