A bosonic model for relativistic spinors

Abstract:In an 11-dimensional manifold with topology real7 ×S 7 (Minkowski-space times 7-dimensional sphere) we construct a completely antisymmetrical 8-rank tensor field (equivalent to the Pauli matrices) performing a symmetry breaking so that a Lorentz-transformation must be linked with a rotation of the internal spaceS 7. Certain scalar fields are then described as and have the same transformation properties as relativistic 4-dimensional spinor fields.Research supported by the Commission of the European Communities (Directorate General for Science, Research and Development-Joint Research Center).
