Abstract:
High-resolution (0.03 cm−1) absolute infrared photoabsorption cross-sections of octafluorocyclobutane (c-C4F8) and octafluorocyclopentene (c-C5F8) have been measured using Fourier-transformed infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy at 279 and 297 K. Radiative forcing and global warming potential of these two species was estimated using the measured infrared cross section spectra.
