| Abstract: | Reaction of 2, 3-dinitroaniscle with N, N-dimethylethylenediamine leads to replacement of the nitro group in position 2. The resultant compound is used to synthesize benzimidazaole analogs of the naturally occuring halucinogenic drug psilocine. |
