Abstract: | Three 4′-(2-thienyl) substituted terpyridine (thioterpy) complexes of cadmium(II) and mercury(II) have been synthesized and fully characterized by spectroscopies. According to the crystallographic studies, the packing of these complexes was stabilized by several intermolecular interactions such as hydrogen bonding, C-H?π and π?π. Finally, the florescent properties of the prepared complexes have been investigated. |
