Abstract: | The structure of clusters of some new carbon 3D-graphite phases have been calculated using the molecular-mechanics methods.
It is established that 3D-graphite polytypes α1, 1, α1, 3, α1, 5, α2, 1, α2, 3, α3, 1, β1, 2, β1, 4, β1, 6, β2, 1, and β3, 2 consist of sp
2-hybridized atoms, have hexagonal unit cells, and differ in regards to the structure of layers and order of their alternation.
A possible way to experimentally synthesize new carbon phases is proposed: the polymerization and carbonization of hydrocarbon
molecules. |
