Abstract:Antiproton-deuteron scattering is analyzed within the Glauber theory, accounting for the full spin dependence of the underlying ({bar{N}N}) amplitudes. The latter are taken from the Jülich ({bar{N}N}) models and from a recently published new partial-wave analysis of ({bar{p}p}) scattering data. Predictions for differential cross sections and the spin observables ({A_y^d}) , ({A_y^{bar{p}}}) , A xx , A yy are presented for antiproton beam energies up to about 300 MeV. The efficiency of the polarization buildup for antiprotons in a storage ring is investigated.
