Abstract: | The threshold voltage and the rise time of planar, homeotropic and twisted nematic layers were investigated in dependence of the frequency and the temperature. A strong increase of threshold voltage and rise time could be observed in the region of the dielectric relaxation frequencies between 0.1 and 1 MHz. The results were compared with those of the dielectric measurements. |
