| Abstract: | The spin correlation function of two neutrons evaporated consecutively from a compound nucleus is calculated in the framework of a statistical model. The correlation function varies only weakly with the neutron emission angle, typically not more than 10%. This allows to use a simple formula to calculate the neutron spin correlation in good approximation. |
