| Abstract: | Cycloalkanone hydrazones undergo condensation with mercaptoacetic acid to give predominantly the spirothiazolidinones. The structures of the products have been established on the basis of physico-chemical data. These compounds have shown promising antibacterial and antifungal activity. |
