Synthesis of Ethyl 7-Flavonol-Oxyacetates

Ten new methoxy-, nitro-, and halogen substituted 2′-hydroxy-4-carbethoxymethoxychalcones have been prepared by the condensation of 2-hydroxy-4-carbethoxymethoxyacetophenone with substituted benzaldehydes. These chalcones have been converted to the corresponding flavonols.
