| Abstract: | A novel starch derivative, carboxymethyl starch (CMS), is introduced in this paper. Experimental results of CMS application internal are presented. CMS is soluble in cool water and can be used conveniently. CMS has significant effect on strength and retention when it is used in the pulp. |
