Abstract: | Mossbauer spectroscopy measurements at both room and liquid nitrogen temperature of potsherd samples of terracotta figures
of warriors and horses excavated from within the pit at the grave site of the First Emperor (221 B.C.), lead us to conclude
that the No. 4 potsherd sample was fired at a temperature of 980±50°C in a reducing atmosphere. |
