| Abstract: | Experimental data on the influence of oxygen on the rate of formation of N2, N2O, and CO2 were obtained for a wide range of conditions, the goal being to substantiate and develop a previously proposed mechanism and reaction kinetics for the reaction of CO with NO and O2. The effect of the reversibility of the NO adsorption step on the kinetics of the process was also analyzed. The conditions necessary for acceleration of the reaction of CO + NO by oxygen were obtained.
