Profile of radial inhomogeneity for stationary self-trapped propagation of laser beams in a non-linear absorbing/amplifying medium with arbitrary non-linearity

Abstract:Summary This paper presents an analysis of stationary self-trapped propagation of a Gaussian laser beam in radially inhomogeneous absorbing/amplifying medium with saturating non-linearity. Using the paraxial theory, the profile of radial inhomogeneity corresponding to stationary self-trapped propagation has been evaluated.
