| Abstract: | Soil samples were collected in the 14 water-fluctuating zones in the main stream of Yangtze River in April, 2010, the organics, Nitrogen and phosphorus ingredients were detected, and the chemical measurement properties were analyzed. The findings reveal that the organics ingredients in soil after the impoundment are higher than thoseof the control soil. The vegetation coverage in water-fluctuating zones has great impetus on the soil organics and nitrogen ingredients. In the initial stages of water return, the soil organics and nitrogen ingredients in places with higher vegetation coverage before impoundment are higher than those of the control soil, and the soil organics and nitrogen ingredients in lower vegetation coverage is lower than those of control soil. The Phosphorus ingredients in water-fluctuating zones have not much to do with vegetation coverage and soil utility differences. Contrasting with the control soil, C：N, C：P in soil is higher and N：P is lower in water fluctuating zones. The organics and nitrogen ingredients in water-fluctuating zones are in a healthy fitting linear relationship, indicating they are of the same source. |
