Numerical study of the two-dimensional problem of the theory of elasticity using the boundary-element method

We propose a method of solving the two-dimensional problem of the theory of elasticity by a direct boundary-element method. We apply Galerkin's method with linear and quadratic approximations of the forces and displacements.
