Abstract: | An indirect flame-photometric method for the determination of silicon in terms of the potassium in precipitated K(2)SiF(6) has been developed. Optimum conditions have been found for the precipitation and the washing of the precipitate with aqueous ethanol. Satisfactory results have been obtained for silicon contents > 1 % in ores and alloys. |
