Polynuclear trivalent metal complexes with phosphonic acids

Abstract:Summary Polynuclear chromium(III) and iron(III) complexes with hydroxyethylidenediphosphonic acid (H4L1), ethylenediphosphonic acid (H4L2),o-phenylenediamine-N,Nprime-bis(methylenephosphonic acid) (H4L3), ethylenediamine-N, N, Nprime, Nprime-tetrakis(methylenephosphonic acid) (H8L4) ando-phenylenediamine-N, N, Nprime, Nprime-tetrakis-(methylenephosphonic acid) (H8L5) have been prepared and characterised by elemental analyses, magnetic measurements, i.r., electronic Mössbauer spectra. The compounds are anti-ferromagnetic.
