Mass spectrometric analysis of plasma composition of a D. C. arc burning in an air atmosphere

Summary The plasma composition of a d. c. arc burning in air was investigated by mass spectrometry. It has been found that the CO and CO₂ contents result from homogenous chemical reactions and that the content of carbon is about 1%.
