N-isopropyl-2-(isopropylamino)troponiminate complexes of lithium and calcium

The synthesis and structures of (i-Pr)₂ATI]Li₂(thf)(I)(1) and (i-Pr)₂ATI]Ca(thf)₂(I)₂Li₂(thf)₂-(i-Pr)₂ATI] (2) (where (i-Pr)₂ATI]=N-isopropyl-2-(isopropylamino)troponiminate) have been described. The lithium atoms in compounds1 and2 occupy positions above and below the plane of the aminotroponiminate ligand. The calcium atom in2 adopts a pseudo-octahedral geometry with two tetrahydrofurans occupying thetrans-positions. Compound1 crystallizes as dimeric units.
