Abstract:A simple scheme for quantum non-demolition (QND) measurement of a Fock state stored in a high-Q cavity is proposed. esscheme utilizes well-defined atomic center-of-mass momentum states in wave propagation direction, interacting with an offresonant cavity field in the Bragg regime. The same scheme can be applied for the formation of quantum Controlled-NOT logic gate.
