New obstructions to the thickening of  -complexes |

| Abstract: | In this note we use Morse theory to produce new obstructions to the existence of thickenings of  -complexes in low codimension. The obstructions are expressed as nonexistence of solutions  to an equation of type  with  a Ganea-Hopf type invariant. |
