Abstract: | In this communication, a simple thermal analysis of a multi-effect distillation system has been presented in terms of climatic and system parameters. Numerical computations have been carried out for a typical day of Delhi. On the basis of numerical results, it is observed that the results obtained by the present model is in accordance with the other's results with an overall accuracy of about 3%. It is further noted that the optimum number of effects mainly depends on the water flow rate in different condensing chambers. |
