On the solution of the finite moment problem

In this work we propose a method to obtain the normal solution of the finite moment problem both in the absence and in the presence of linear boundary constraints. The method gives the normal solution as a linear combination of Jacobi polynomials and furnishes its coefficients in terms of the moments. A number of examples are given to illustrate the strength of the method.
