Abstract: | Amplification reactions provide a chemical means of enhancing the sensitivity of an analytical measurement. This review describes the various types of amplification reactions currently available, proposes a systematic classification scheme for them and also provides a comprehensive account of amplification reactions for a wide variety of analytes. |
