Dispute on Ferment Theory: Mechanism vs. Vitalism

Between the middle stage of 19 century to the initial stage of 20 Century,two philosophic sects,Mechanism and Vitalism,had important contributon for the establishment and development of biochemistry.At the same time,they disputed each other on ferment theory and fermentative mechanism in almost one century.Because their own deficiency,they didn't defeat rival on the dispute.The research on enzymatic chemistry in 20 Century have indicated that it is no other than connected chemical reaction within biologic body,with energy conversion and organized structure of ensemble,promoted great growth of biochemical research.
