| Abstract: | Chromium as a transition metal oxide is incorporated into lithium silicate glass compositions. It supplies to these glasses adequate absorption and reflectance characteristics for electromagnetic radiation. This will make it possible to attain appropriate materials to apply as absorbers of solar energy. Properties of the glass and glass ceramics produced are investigated. |
