Dioxouranium(VI) complexes ofN-(orthovanillidene)-anthranilic acid andN-(vanillidene)-anthranilic acid

Summary Two structurally related reagents,N-(orthovanillidene)-anthranilic acid (H₂L¹) andN-(vanillidene)anthranilic acid (H₂L²), have been used to synthesize new uranyl complexes having different metal-ligand ratios, e.g. 11, 23 and 12 using various starting materials. The products have been isolated in the solid state and characterized by elemental analyses, molar conductances in methanol, t.g.a., electronic, i.r., and¹H n.m.r. spectral data.
