| Abstract: | Unidirectional electronic current is reported for a device based on the interface between an anionically functionalized and a cationically functionalized polyacetylene. The unidirectional current in this mixed ionically/electronically conducting system is electronic but is regulated by asymmetry in the ionic processes. |
