| Abstract: | A procedure for taking the irreducible representations of subperiodic rod groups from tables of irreducible representations
of three-periodical space groups is derived. Examples demonstrating the use of this procedure and derivation of selection
rules for direct and phonon assisted electrical dipole transitions are presented.
